Experiencing God’s Favor
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here!- 2 Corinthians 5:17
The Scripture says that God wants to pour out “His Far and beyond favor” for those who love Him. If you want to receive this favor, you must enlarge your vision in your faith. You can’t go around thinking negative, defeated, limiting thoughts by being trapped on your own thoughts. Well, I can’t make it, I can’t handle such a big matter.”
To experience God’s immeasurable favor and blessing, we should start expecting His favor Blessings with patience as it is mentioned in Hebrews 10:36 “You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised”. We must perceive them in our heart and mind before we can receive it with perseverance by fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith in our faith (Heb12:2). If we will make room for blessings in our lives in faith God will bring those things to pass. But God will not pour fresh, creative ideas and blessings if we are not following His will.
When Jesus wanted to encourage His followers to enlarge their visions in their faith He warned them, “You can’t put new wine into old wineskins” (Mt 9:17). Jesus was saying that you cannot have a larger life with restricted vision which is your own limited thoughts. That lesson still applies today. The good news is God wants to fill your life with “new wine.” God wants to give you new “wineskins,” new concepts with God’s vision in which to contain it. But you must be willing to get rid of your old wineskins. Start thinking bigger with your faith. Enlarge your vision and get rid of the old negative mind-set that holds you back.
God says, “See, I am doing a new thing. Do you not perceive it?” (Isaiah 43:19).Today, God is ready to do a new thing in your life. It pleases Him to test you, to see if you’ll trust Him; He wants you to grow more in Christ’s likeness. But remember, we should make room for God to bless us by keeping trust in the Lord. He is going to work ahead of us and for us. It’s time to enlarge our vision for a deeper life in Christ today.
As I close this sermon today, I would like to remind you to remember. When Jesus wanted to encourage His followers to enlarge their visions. God is ready to do a new thing in your life (2 Cor.5:17). It pleases Him to test you, to see if you’ll trust Him; He wants you to grow more in Christ’s likeness. It’s time to grow and enlarge your vision through your faith for a deeper life in Christ
