¡°As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you¡± (Josh. 1:5).
First of all, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Lord for His faithful guidance and protection during this year. Throughout the past year, God has provided all our needs according to His good will. We should thank the Lord, our good shepherd who provides what His flock needs every moment. God has never failed in His love for His children.
As He gave His life for us, He is giving His life until now for those who are in need. Above all our other blessings, we should thank the Lord for His unfailing protection and loving care.
And then we should express our gratitude for our brothers and sisters in Christ.
We can give them a small token of our gratitude, such as our warm greetings or a small gift. Let us remember God¡¯s unconditional love throughout the past year. And we expect His steadfast guidance during the New Year because He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
As we close this year and open a new year, let us remember that We Are Not Alone, God is always with us as Jesus declared in Matthew 28:20 "I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Jesus spoke these words to His disciples just before He went back to heaven: ¡°I am with you always.¡±
In Deuteronomy 31:6-8, God promised Moses and the Israelites that He would always be with them. Moses told them that God would lead His people into the ¡°land of promise.¡± And the Lord told Joshua the same thing,¡°As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you¡± (Josh. 1:5).
That promise is repeated in the New Testament where the writer of Hebrews assures us that
Jesus promised,¡°¡®I will never leave you nor forsake you¡¯¡±(13:5).
Wherever you may be today, you are not alone. :20
If you¡¯ve placed your trust in Jesus for your eternal salvation,
you can be certain that He will never leave you at any time. He will be with us all the time... May the Lord richly bless you.
First make sure you are with Him; then you can be sure He¡¯ll be with you.
