"See I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land that the Lord swore He would give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob." (Deuteronomy 1:8)
Today, I would like to give a message with Deuteronomy 1:8 with the title ¡°Trust in the Lord with your Absolute Surrender.¡±
God has promised us to give the Land and the Peace (Shalom) for those who trust in Him sincerely.
Sometimes, we are tempted to give up as we travel the journey of life, especially in times of challenging stuations with our rebellious attitude against God.
In many occasions, we try to resolve the problems with our own efforts with no faith in God. In the book of Hebrews 11:6 says that without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Even though you are striving to achieve the goal with lots of effort and endurance. But the matter is that you won't be able to reach the goal when you walk alone without God.
In order for your dream to come true, you should depend on God with your absolute trust in Him who is the very source of all the blessings. If you give your absolute surrender to God, he will lead your life into the Promised Land
He has promised.
As we read the Bible in Deuteronomy 1:8 God has promised God would give the Promised land in 11 days, but it took the Israelites 40 years because they didn¡¯t trust in God absolutely all their fears and doubts.
When God led the Hebrew people, the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt, the 11-day journey to The Promised Land took 40 years. God wanted the Hebrew people to move forward with absolute trust, but they wandered in the desert, going around the same mountain for 40 years because of their defeated and rebellious attitude. They were trapped with a poor defeated mentality, focusing on their problems, always complaining, and worrying about the obstacles between them and their destiny.
If they were to rely on God, who promised the Promised Land, then they could have been able to enter into the Promised Land for with God's blessing and peace that God had designed. But they failed with their rebellious attitude against God.
No matter what you¡¯ve gone through in the past, no matter how many setbacks you¡¯ve suffered, no matter who or what has tried to prevent your blessings, God has given us a new day and He wants to do a new thing for your life as long as we put our trust in God with our absolute surrender from now on.
Don¡¯t let your past determine your future. Repent of any sins that may be causing trouble and blocking the Lord¡¯s blessings. Claim the forgiveness and cleansing God promises those who truly repent. And step out in faith believing that the Lord will change your lives and give His abundant blessings as you trust in the Lord.
The Bible promises, ¡°instead of your (formal) shame,¡± God will give us a ¡°double reward (Isaiah 61:7).¡± That means if you keep trusting in the Lord with your absolute surrender, God will pay you back double for your trouble and setbacks. He¡¯ll pay you back with twice as much joy, peace, and happiness. But you must do your part by trusting in the Lord and by repenting of any sins which may have caused the troubles and start anew expecting good things by trusting in the Lord¡¯s goodness.
I pray that God will increase His blessing as you put your trust in Him. He will be your source of blessing as you walk with Him day by day and moment by moment.
No matter what obstacles are ahead of you, you will break through the barriers when you put your trust in God.
Remember God is always with us. He is willing to bless His people according to Romans 8:28, for those who love the Lord, and whoare eager to live for God's purpose. You are a child of God; you are given the Kingdom of God as an heir of God.
