2019 Christmas Message
Isaiah 9:6 (NIV)
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.
And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
As we are now waiting for Christmas, this is the time for us to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. This Christmas everywhere we go we can see the trees with beautiful decorations and we can see the Santas and the reindeer all the decorations of Christmas.
In the past I used to hear the Christmas Carols around the corners of the streets in the cities. But now for some reason it is not like the old days hearing the Christmas Carols as before.
We may not be putting Christmas trees in our homes but we can still embrace the true meaning of Christmas by remembering that God has given us the most precious gift on this Christmas Day in His son Jesus Christ for our salvation, the Child of God.
This is the reason why we are celebrating the Christmas time with full Joy and deepest gratitude for what God did for us on this Christmas Day.
We can think about the true meaning of Christmas. Christmas is the day celebrating the birth of the Child of God.
Through the birth of the Child of God, God manifested his unfailing love toward us. He truly loved us so much that He gave His only begotten Son. Christmas is the deepest expression of God¡¯s love toward us.
He sent His Son to rescue us from the eternal punishment for our sins. This is the reason why we call Jesus the Messiah, the one who saved us form eternal death. So that Christmas is the time for us to express our deepest gratitude toward God who granted us eternal salvation through Jesus Christ.
Christmas is the time to show our genuine or authentic love toward God who gave the most precious gift His Son Jesus Christ for our eternal salvation.
Many people are enjoying the Christmas season without knowing the true meaning. From time to time, we, Christians also miss the true meaning of Christmas by meekly celebrating this Christmas as other non-believers do. It¡¯s not simply a matter of exchanging gifts and having a family dinner party. But to celebrate the coming Messiah who is being our Savior and Lord.
This is the time to refocus on the real meaning of Christmas.
Today as we read Isaiah 9, for to us a child is born and a child is given. He is our wonderful counselor, mighty God, everlasting Father, and the Prince of Peace. He will be our ruler and also He will be our eternal King. We shall reign with His Son Jesus Christ as an eternal heir of the Kingdom of Heaven.
The Kingdom of God will be here on this Christmas Day with no end. He shall reign on David¡¯s throne, he shall reign forever. The passion of the Lord God almighty will be accomplishing his sovereign heavenly plans now and forever.
Let us worship the Lord our God Almighty celebrating His coming on the earth as the Son of God.
Jesus, He is with us. We call Him ¡°Immanuel,¡± God is with us. Jesus lives within us. He is working among us as the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit will be with us forever and ever.
Isaiah 9:6,7 – The Message Bible:
For a child has been born – for us!
the gift of a son - for us!
He¡¯ll take over the running of the world!
His names will be:
Amazing Counselor,
Strong God,
Eternal Father,
Prince of Wholeness.
His ruling authority will grow, and there¡¯ll be no limits to the wholeness he brings.
He¡¯ll rule from the historic Davidic throne over that promised kingdom.
He¡¯ll put that kingdom on a firm footing and keep it going with fair dealings and right living, beginning now and lasting always
This is the end of the Christmas message 2019. May God Bless you and Merry Christmas.
