THE GOD OF ABUNDANCE
¡°Now unto Him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.¡± (Ephesians 3:20 KJV)
From time to time, we are so anxious about our lives with many things. That means that we forget who God is. Our God is Almighty God! There is nothing to be impossible for God to do for those who trust in Him. God is able to do much more than you could imagine. God promise that those who trust in Him shall never see shame.
The Apostle Paul in his prayer for the Ephesians speaks of the inexhaustible nature of God. Paul says that God is so great that we cannot even begin to imagine His power.
Paul¡¯s prayer speaks to us today. First, there is nothing that God cannot do and second, He can do so much more than we could ever imagine. Our God is a God of abundance. He said to His disciples, ¡°I came that they may ¡¦enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). (John 10:10 Amplified).
The Word of God teaches that God does much more than we can ask or think, if we ask according to His will. The widow in Kings 4:1-7 turned to Elisha for help. Not only did God provide enough oil to pay her debt, He ensured that she and her sons had enough to live on thereafter. Ruth started by picking the leftover crops in Boaz¡¯s field. But later she owned the field. When our Lord fed the five thousand, not only were all 5,000 satisfied, but they had twelve baskets of leftover food.
What do you need today? Whatever it is, believe that God is able. Trust Him today to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you could ask or think if you ask according to His will. Then watch Him do just that.
