John 3:16
¡°God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.¡±
As I ponder of the meaning of Christmas. I have found that ¡°Gratitude¡± toward God should be the core element of Christmas.
What if ? We do not have Christmas? This could be disaster for all foreigners including us. Because there is no way for us to be saved unless we are the chosen people of Israel being under the law of Moses. But God chose us, foreigners By His Amazing grace and Love. God decided to rescue us through His Son, Jesus Christ! We are so blessed that we can now celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ¡±Messiah¡± for our Salvation.
While we were yet sinners, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ for our eternal Salvation. What a great blessing for God¡¯s love toward us. God so loved us, that He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ , so anyone who believes in Him should not perish, but eternal life.(John 3:16). God so loved us, This is the Main reason why Jesus Christ,Messiah had to come to rescue us as an atonement by being a lamb of God and by being a man of God. God had to come to this place to be atone for our eternal condemnation with our sins. God Himself was to be incarnated by being a Man like us. What a great mystery of His Amazing Love!
When we realize the true meaning of Christmas, we would never stop praising the Lord for His everlasting and unceasing love toward us. We would never stop being grateful for the Love He has shown for you and me.
Yes, we should celebrate the Joy of our Messiah for our eternal redemption, but we also need to give our gratitude for His Amazing Sacrifice with all our lives.
¡°But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.¡±
Galatians 4:4-5 NIV
¡°If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham¡¯s seed, and heirs according to the promise.¡±
Galatians 3:29 NIV
God has given us the new position in Christ, When we were sinners, Christ died on behalf of us as an atonement, but we became an heir of the Kingdom of Heaven when we believed and received Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Now we are the children of God and we are to receive the inheritance for the Kingdom of God as His Heirs. Hallelujah!
As we are waiting for the Joy of Christmas, let us be grateful for God¡¯s love and His Sacrifice and His Salvation. Praise the Lord!
