Clothe yourselved with Compassion
Colossians 3
12. Therefore, as Gods chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Everyday they pass me by I can see it in their eye.
Empty people filled with care Headed who knows where.
On they go through private pain Living fear to fear.
Laughter hides the silent cries Only Jesus hears.
Yes, People need the Lord!
At the end of broken dreams Jesus is the open door
When will we realize People need the Lord
We are called to take His light To a world where wrong seems right.
What could be too great a cost For sharing life with one who's lost.
Through His love our hearts can feel All the grief they bear.
They must hear the words of life Only we can share
Yes people need the Lord.
God's compassion is not something abstract or indefinite, but a concrete, specific gesture in which God reaches out to us. In Jesus Christ we see the fullness of God's compassion.
The word compassion is derived from the Latin words pati and cum, which together mean ¡°to suffer with.¡± Compassion asks us to go where it hurts, to enter into places of pain, to share in brokenness, fear, confusion and anguish. Compassion challenges us to cry out with those in misery, to mourn with those who are lonely, to weep with those in tears. Compassion requires us to be weak with the weak, vulnerable with the vulnerable and powerless with the powerless. Compassion means full immersion in the condition of being human. When we look at compassion this way, it becomes clear that something more is involved than a general kindness or tenderheartedness.
Yes, you are the light where there is a full of darkeness. You are the salt where seems to be depraved. Let us clothe ourselves with Compassion by reaching out our helping hands in the name of Jesus.
As Jesus reached us with His compassion and love, we need also to reach out someone like you and me who need His compassion. As God¡¯s chosen and beloved children, let us clothe ourselves with compassion.
