Work out your salvation with fear and trembling!
Phillippians 2 :12
Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed -- not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence -- continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,
Do you think our Salvation can be forfieted once we got saved? This is a very sensitive issue. Today we read that we should work out our salvation with fear and trembling. But one thing for sure that our salvation is not going to be forfeited if we became a Christian according to the promise of God in Romans 8:1-2
"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,
because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death."
Yes, God gave us eternal life when we believed in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. He¡¯s not only given us eternal life, but also His Kingdom. In other words, makes us heirs of the Kingdom of God. This is the reason why we are called God¡¯s Sons. God has given us a very special privilege to inherit the Kingdom as His children. What a great privilege we have in Christ. Our salvation will be secured by the blood of Jesus Christ according to God's promise.
But even though we are Kingdom heirs, we still live in this dark and sinful world. So Paul urges us to continue to work out our salvation with fear and trembling in order to inherit the unshakable and eternal Kingdom.
We need to abide in the Lord every moment so as to be blameless and pure since we are living in a crooked and depraved world. We need to seek His Kingdom by living under His Sovereign Reign with absolute surrender to God and with consecrated life.
As we seek the Kingdom of God first we will inherit eternal blessing from our Heavenly Father. And we will be consecrated by the word of God and the prayer.
1 Timothy 4:5 " because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer."
Every single day, let us serve the One who calls us and gives us the eternal Kingdom with . He is our God and our Lord of Holiness. So we need to be like Him. God says that you shall be holy as I am holy. In order for us to live a holy life, it is important to focus on meditating of the Bible and prayer.
Christians are the most blessed people in the Universe because we have been given the eternal Kingdom of God.
We need to understand who we are in Christ. Once we have been saved by Jesus blood, we need to work out our Kingdom inheritance with fear and trembling by seeking God¡¯s daily rule in our lives.
Let us work out our salvation with fear and trembling with our consecrated life. God wants us to bear much fruit as we work our salvation with our holy lives.
